Jhon the guide gave us an extra treat. Visiting Platform A for free. Yayyy!!
Back on the opened-van we got on.
This was the road, to Platform A, for our second time.
The houses we passed by, Jhon explained, were the houses of the "Nipah Plantation" workers. Many of them are Indonesians originating from Makassar. Today they couldn't go to work, because the plantation is flooded caused by hard rain the night before. When they don't go to work, they go fishing. That's why they love it here.
This is one of the houses. They live here with their family.
Here we are!
This is part of the platform where we could view the proboscis.
It wasn't only the tourists that were excited. The squirrels, too!
This one patiently waited for a treat of pancake.
Jhon gave out several pieces of pancakes to the squirrels. It seems that Jhon is generous to any animal except macaques. Hahaha.
You know me. I would never let a butterfly get away my lens without a shot. But this one is rather special. There's a spider right beneath it. The butterfly and the spider seemed like pushing at each other.
Yay. 'Somebody' is coming.
Ah. Still not so good. But still much better than yesterday. The shot, I mean.
It must feel very good sitting on a tree like this...
... while nibbling a piece of pancake.
A juvenile is enjoying a piece of cucumber.
This looks like a big family consisting of an alpha-male and his harem. Just take a closer look.
Getting ready for breakfast also.
Hurray! Jhon is coming! Jhon the monkey, I mean.
Hurray! Jhon is coming! Jhon the monkey, I mean.
Wow! Nice to meet you again, Jhon!
"I'm coming, too!"
"Don't you think we are lucky to be born here, cared and loved by human?" said one teenager to another.
"Sure!" the other one answered. "I wouldn't want to live anywhere else than here."
"Sure!" the other one answered. "I wouldn't want to live anywhere else than here."
When your stomach is full, it's nice to swing yourself on a tree branch.
But... when you are really, really, full... you can't even get up!!
