I have never known that there's an island where you may not only stay for 1 night. The minimum stay is 2 nights. And on top of that you cannot just rent a room. You have to buy a package. That's the beauty of Lankayan Island Resort.
When I booked my Air Asia ticket, I added 1 night for Sandakan, because I intended to stay for 1 night on Lankayan Island. If I knew that staying for only 1 night -- not to mention not buying a package -- is not possible, I wouldn't have book this air ticket for Sandakan. How weird and frustrating this is. Is this truly Asia??
